this is the body that gives us heirs look at how it forms with intention to bring life, a scene for our pleasure how we reach out to touch glorify the curves, admire the softness look at the flesh how we just want to sink into it where we reach our completion feeling closer to god. this is the body most watched so hide all of its natural things we’ve marked as dirty and sinful so present it as a smooth, hairless thing, hide how the site we most desire becomes bloody grounds each month when it loses its plump, not so bouncy when it’s scarred with marks of time & life growth lining each fold hide it even more. don’t let us see it as real & living beyond our imaginations keep it beautiful, keep it mysterious. a body most loved and adored a body most disdained and shamed.
Thank you for being here,
Laurel
Beautiful piece of truth… May we live in a world where female bodies (and all bodies) are treasured—and pleasured!
I just discovered you from your announcement about your book. Where is the link to buy the book? I also write poetry and essays and I’m actually coming out with my first collection, at age 60. Took a bit longer than you did!
I have experienced profound healing of the mother wound, both as an adoptee and as daughter of a narcissistic mother, and I know how essential this holy work is. And of course, it continues… Healing more layers, levels, and lifetimes… in all generational directions. Blessed be. 🙏🙌✨
